Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information (“Tippito”, “we”) handles when you use the Tippito iPhone app and the website tippito.com, why, and the choices you have. The short version: you can use Tippito without an account, we don’t show ads, and we don’t sell or share your data for advertising.

Using the app or website without an account

You don’t need an account to read tips. The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools. When the app or website talks to our servers, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as your IP address, device or browser type and the pages requested. We use it only to run, secure and fix the service.

Premium subscriptions

In the iPhone app, subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never receive your card or Apple Account details. Purchases are managed for us by RevenueCat, which gives your device a random, anonymous customer ID and records which subscription it holds and when it renews or expires. The app sends that ID to our servers so they can confirm your subscription and show you premium tips.

On the website, subscriptions are handled by RevenueCat with payments processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to them and never reach our servers. The website keeps a random ID in a session cookie so a purchase can be matched to your browser.

Accounts (older versions of the app)

If you created an account in an earlier version of Tippito, we hold the details you gave us: your email address or phone number, your name and profile, the predictions you posted, your coin balance and your transactions. Sign-in codes are sent by email, or by SMS through Twilio. If you enabled notifications, OneSignal delivers them using a device identifier.

Cookies

The website uses only cookies needed for it to work: a session cookie and a security token that protects forms. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts and scripts are loaded from Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which receive your IP address when they deliver those files.

Predictions

Fixtures, results and predictions come from football data providers, and some predictions are generated with the help of AI services. Only match information such as team and league names is sent to them, never information about you.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Subscription records are kept while your subscription is active and afterwards for as long as we are required to for accounting and tax. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and object to how we use it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To cancel a subscription, use your Apple Account subscription settings for app purchases, or the link in your RevenueCat receipt email for website purchases.

Age

Tippito is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app or on the website.
